Going Dotty!

Damien Hirst, loved and despised.
His spot paintings are featured in Gagosian Galleries and the globe trotting spot challenge was conquered.
spiffy riffs is what Jerry Saltz calls them.

Meanwhile I got a bit dotty playing in my sketchbook.

"Dribble Dot"
Paint, painted feather, wire

Hockney's Landscape paintings are a huge hit for Yorkshire folk. Perhaps it was the northern girl in me that felt a joy in his paintings. Whatever it is I have had luscious colour filled dreams inspired by them (not a dot to be seen).

FAF: Making Felt Chocolates

So I hung out in the studio  and made chocolates out of felt for free art friday, free of calories and free art rolled into one, what a winner eh!

Very easy to make
Just cut out and stitch corners
stuff with a little fiber fill and sew on bottom piece. Then embellish. I did a little fly stitch, couching, satin stitch heart, and small beads.
